As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality civil engineering designs, including process plant platforms, access roads, drainage systems, and related infrastructure in challenging environments. Your expertise will contribute to the successful execution of multi-disciplinary engineering projects and feasibility studies.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute civil engineering designs within established timelines and standards.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports addressing specific design challenges.
- Support the efficient delivery of civil engineering projects by managing budgets and reviewing civil capital cost estimates.
- Assist in the development of proposals and tenders, including estimating design hours.
- Familiarize yourself with standard discipline deliverables and project workflows.
- Exhibit initiative and leadership skills to guide small work groups effectively.
- Foster relationships and networks within teams, across the organization, and with clients.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Proven track record in a similar senior civil engineering position.
- Extensive experience in earthworks, roadworks, and drainage within relevant industries such as mining, mineral processing, materials handling, or heavy industry.
- Demonstrated ability in designing mining facilities, with a strong capacity to conceptualize project layouts and optimize designs.
- Proficiency in software such as 12D, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D is highly advantageous.
- Chartered status is a valuable asset, though not mandatory.
