Job Title: Licensed Optometrist
Salary and Job OverviewWe offer a competitive salary, part-time position (24 hours+) at Costco Wholesale Boolaroo. As a licensed optometrist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional eye care services to our members.
Job Duties/Essential FunctionsKey Responsibilities:
- Coach, train, and mentor other optical department employees to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality care.
- Exercise discretion and confidentiality when handling patient information, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to Optical Centre and general safety policies.
- Examine patients, provide expert advice on eye care, perform routine eye inspections, diagnose sight problems by conducting thorough eye tests, and prescribe glasses and contact lenses as needed.
- Assist in other departments of the warehouse as necessary and provide prompt, courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Optometry, required by the state.
- Certificate IV Optical Dispensing.
- Registration and licensure with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency / Optometry Board of Australia.
- Appropriate optometry or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated outstanding patient care and strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF GOOGLE SUITE (DOCS, SHEETS, SLIDES)
- BASIC MATH SKILLS
We estimate the annual salary for this position to be around $80,000-$100,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications.
