Job Overview:
The Defence Department is seeking an experienced professional to lead multidisciplinary teams in the Richmond/Hunter Office.
This role involves working with Defence Social Workers, education specialists, Family Liaison Officers, administrative staff, and Military Support Officers to deliver individual and program-related support to Defence families.
Key responsibilities include engaging with ADF Commanding Officers, forming positive relationships with stakeholders, making evidence-based decisions under pressure, managing military, APS, and contracted staff, and planning, leading, and managing human and physical resources within allocated budgets.

The Defence Member and Family Support (DMFS) Branch provides a range of services that remediate unique family challenges, such as periods of absence, mobility, and connecting with the community.
