About the Role

Norton Rose Fulbright is a global legal practice with a strong presence in the energy sector. We are seeking an experienced lawyer to join our Energy Transactions team in Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on a range of energy projects for project sponsors, financiers, and large energy users nationally.
  • Advising on and drafting project documentation, including power purchase agreements, connection agreements, services and development agreements, delivery and joint venture agreements.
  • Coordinate due diligence for greenfield and brownfield projects, financing, and acquisitions.
  • Manage work streams on large domestic and international projects.
  • Liaise with clients on consents, amendments, and project delivery issues as they arise.
  • Assist with business development and marketing initiatives.
  • Delegate and supervise work and junior team members.
Requirements
  • 4-8 years PQE gained within an energy/projects practice. Project finance experience well regarded.
  • Possess a growth mindset and are commercial, solution-focused, creative, and passionate about delivering the energy transition.
  • Experience assisting on a range of matters across the infrastructure, energy, and government sector.
  • Strong client liaison skills.
  • Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities simultaneously.
