Job Overview
Ethos BeathChapman seeks a seasoned Chief Treasury Accounting Officer to lead our treasury accounting function and drive strategic transformation initiatives within the finance team. This role is responsible for managing hedge accounting processes, Securitisation programs, and overseeing day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust accounting policies and procedures for treasury accounting, ensuring alignment with Australian accounting standards.
- Complete monthly hedge accounting activity, including maintaining hedge relationships, hedge effectiveness calculations, and accounting entries.
- Lead the external audit engagements in relation to Hedge Accounting and Securitisation Accounting.
- Drive process improvements through transformation initiatives within the treasury and accounting functions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and treasury operations.
Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant (CA)/Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) qualification with 5+ years post-qualification experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in treasury accounting, with a focus on complex financial instruments, derivatives, and related products.
- Proven leadership skills, with experience in motivating and mentoring staff.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities, with the ability to present complex information clearly to senior leaders.
What We Offer:
- An attractive salary range of AU$140,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, based on qualifications and experience.
