Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe movement of buses and trucks around the yard, including assisting the Workshop and Sales teams with vehicle licencing requirements, minor mechanical jobs, coordinating detailing and final vehicle preparations, working within a team to meet movement targets, local part runs when applicable, movement of trucks to various suppliers, occasional truck delivery to metro/regional customer sites, and assist workshop with basic road testing.

This role requires previous experience in a similar position, experience with mechanical repairs would be advantageous, mechanical interest and aptitude, current and valid HR licence, forklift licence (highly desirable but not essential), strong commitment to health and safety in the workplace, positive and proactive approach to work, ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines, self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously with high attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safe movement of buses and trucks around the yard
  • Assisting Workshop and Sales teams with vehicle licencing requirements

Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:

  • Previous experience in a similar position
  • Experience with mechanical repairs would be advantageous
  • Mechanical interest and aptitude
  • Current and valid HR licence
  • Forklift licence (highly desirable but not essential)
  • Strong commitment to health and safety in the workplace
  • Positive and proactive approach to work
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously with high attention to detail
