Geotechnical Field Services Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team in Northern Sydney.

The successful candidate will be responsible for drilling and logging boreholes, operating machinery, taking soil samples and assisting with drafting and engineering teams.

  • Drill and log boreholes using mechanical augers or hand augers
  • Operate machinery, including ute mounted auger and percussion tube sampler
  • Take soil samples and log them according to AS standards
  • Assist with drafting and engineering teams

The ideal candidate will have:

  • An interest in developing fundamental geotechnical engineering knowledge
  • 1-2 years' experience in a similar role or some site experience (desirable)
  • A full and valid manual driver's license
  • Minimum two year's local driving experience
  • 3.5t towing experience (desirable)
  • Experience/exposure to operating machinery (ideally ute mounted drilling rigs)
  • Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Preferred knowledge of logging procedure in accordance with AS
  • Understanding of AS and AS
  • Industry White Card (essential)
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Eligibility for full time work within Australia
