Your Role and Contributions

The Technology and Cybersecurity audit team within GA&A offers oversight of the technology portfolio, critical projects, and IT suppliers throughout the organization. This team operates as a shared service model, establishing a center of excellence for IT audit assurance.

GA&A collaborates closely with senior management and personnel across all divisions, while maintaining independence as part of our corporate governance framework.

Your contributions will enhance our operations by:

  • Fostering a dynamic environment that emphasizes critical issues and attention to detail.
  • Contributing to high-quality audit reports that focus on the organization’s technology and cybersecurity controls.
  • Assisting stakeholders in making impactful decisions that safeguard the organization and our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing comprehensive audit strategies for cloud infrastructure, DevOps processes, and engineering methodologies.
  • Conducting in-depth evaluations of cloud environments, configurations, and deployment pipelines.
  • Assessing security controls, access management, data protection, and compliance frameworks.
  • Identifying potential risks and vulnerabilities within cloud architectures and services.
  • Analyzing DevOps workflows and automation tools for security gaps.
  • Providing guidance and recommendations for compliance maintenance in cloud environments.
  • Evaluating infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies.
  • Documenting audit findings, recommendations, and risk assessments clearly and concisely.
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement through knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Overseeing effective planning and execution of audits in line with CBA Internal Audit Methodology.
  • Supporting and supervising assigned audit areas from planning through to closure, including managing key audit stages.
  • Applying innovative thinking to problem-solving and participating in processes that capture and implement innovative ideas.
  • Drafting issues and confirming factual accuracy with stakeholders, while assisting in the preparation of clear and pragmatic audit reports.
  • Building independent and objective relationships within GA&A and the broader organization to facilitate effective knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in cloud and engineering practices, including secure code management and deployment practices.
  • Strong understanding of IT domains such as containers, network security, CI/CD, engineering, AWS IAM, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience in auditing cloud-based environments is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with AI technologies is also advantageous.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and influence senior management.
  • Proven ability to meet objectives and targets within set timelines.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • Typically requires 7+ years of auditing or relevant experience.
  • Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Certified Professional are preferred.
  • Experience in cloud engineering, DevOps practices, or infrastructure security is essential.
  • Familiarity with audit methodologies, risk management frameworks, and regulatory requirements is desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
