Job Title:

Financial Planning Strategist

About the Role:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams as a trusted business partner and technical income tax advisor to drive strategic financial planning initiatives.
  • Develop and implement effective tax structuring strategies for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and corporate reorganizations under guidance from senior management.
  • Assist in reviewing and submitting direct tax compliance deliverables, including income tax returns, PAYG instalments, and R&D tax incentive claims.
  • Support the preparation of tax effect accounting processes for financial reporting, encompassing deferred tax and provisioning as necessary.
  • Engage with external tax consultants and service providers to ensure compliance obligations are met efficiently.
  • Mentor junior team members, sharing expertise and best practices.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the Tax Team.
  • Establish strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external authorities, such as the ATO.
