Occupational Therapist Job Description

This role is ideal for a dedicated and compassionate individual who is passionate about working with children to help them achieve their full potential. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing therapy plans to support children with developmental delays or disabilities.

You will work closely with families, carers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients. Your expertise in occupational therapy will enable you to identify areas of need and develop strategies to improve functional skills, such as fine motor coordination, hand-eye coordination, and daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement individualized therapy plans for children with developmental delays or disabilities.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the child's level of function and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve functional skills, such as fine motor coordination, hand-eye coordination, and daily living activities.
  • Collaborate with families, carers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized university.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Eligibility for Medicare provider number.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
