Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Team Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing all resources in a defined area, ensuring optimal utilization of our assets and raw materials.

You will work closely with the frontline production teams and the wider site team to achieve performance improvement goals and employee engagement.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to Health & Safety by working safely, role modelling safe behaviours, challenging unsafe practices, rectifying conditions and escalating observations when support is needed.
  • Achieve effective completion of relevant controls and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Technical team to understand audit non-conformances and consumer complaints, implementing actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Participate in Short Interval Control Reviews to optimize production through resource coordination.
  • Communicate performance data with teams to increase awareness of their role's contribution to shift, site and business success.
  • Rapidly resolve equipment issues and support root cause identification.
  • Develop team and individual understanding through coaching and mentoring, building capability within the team.
  • Record and deliver operational handovers effectively.
  • Energize the team with a consistent enthusiastic approach, encouraging others to act quickly.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent team working skills, manual task capabilities, attention to detail and effective communication. Basic food hygiene knowledge and HACCP awareness are desirable, as well as relevant experience as a machine operator in a production environment.
