Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Tradesperson to join our team in a key leadership role. As a Mechanical Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our plant equipment and machinery.

Your primary focus will be on coordinating maintenance activities, conducting inspections, and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and optimize production.

  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to prevent breakdowns and ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Conduct regular inspections of plant equipment and machinery to identify potential issues and recommend repairs or replacements
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth operations and address any mechanical issues that may arise
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and inventory management
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a nationally recognized trade certificate and have extensive experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a supervisory capacity. You must also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as strong problem-solving abilities.

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in mechanical maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Nationally recognized trade certificate in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical engineering, manufacturing)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
