Academic Leader in Greek Studies

Our faculty is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the role of Lecturer in Greek Literature. This position will play a key part in developing and teaching courses related to Greek language and Greco-Roman literature, as well as contributing to research projects in the field.
About the Position- This is a teaching & research position, requiring candidates to demonstrate high-quality teaching skills in Classical Greek language and Classical Latin language at all levels, including advanced.
- Candidates must also have evidence of an active research profile, with high quality outputs, funding, and plans for future funding.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to work effectively as part of a small team.
Responsibilities- Teaching: Develop and deliver courses, engage in curriculum design, coordinate courses, assess students, provide academic counseling, and adhere to university teaching rules.
- Research: Establish a research program, collaborate on research projects, seek and manage research funding, publish in reputable journals, utilize best practice research methodologies, and participate in project discussions.
- Supervision and Researcher Development: Supervise students, recruit and manage employees, provide performance feedback and training, resolve conflicts, and ensure correct remuneration and benefits.
- Citizenship and Service: Develop partnerships, demonstrate leadership through mentoring, engage in internal service roles and committees, perform administrative functions, provide support to colleagues, and uphold university values.
