Senior Data Analyst

At Talent Insights, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our data maturity journey, you will play a crucial role in translating key data insights into value-adding products for stakeholders and articulating complex information into simple yet engaging messages that can be consumed by key stakeholders with varied levels of data literacy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand the changing needs of the organisation and capture business requirements and underlying data and reporting needs.
  • Translate subject-matter expert and stakeholder discussion into data and reporting products and insights.
  • Design and build reports, dashboards, and data products that support business processes and deliver business insights.
  • Mentor and lead junior analysts.
Essential Criteria:
  • Demonstrated ability to identify organisational challenges and problem statements and turn them into analytical and data business requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate complex information into simple messages that can be consumed by key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and build reports, dashboards, and data products that support business processes and deliver business insight.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and apply best practice analytics methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate subject-matter expert and stakeholder discussion into data and reporting products.
  • Strong programming experience in SAS and SQL.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Experience working in an industrialised cloud data lake and/or EDW environment.
  • Process mapping skills to translate discussion into data flows and process documentation.
  • Experience working within project management frameworks, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle.
