Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in enhancing assembly processes in a high-precision environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Process Optimization: Design, develop, and optimize mechanical assembly processes for complex CNC machines and subassemblies.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot production issues and implement rapid problem resolution strategies.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain and enhance standard operating procedures, assembly instructions, and production documentation.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate on assembly line layout and workstation design improvements to enhance efficiency and ergonomics.
  • Manufacturability: Coordinate with Design Engineering to ensure new products are manufacturable and assembly-ready.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement projects targeting cost reduction, defect reduction, and productivity enhancements.
  • Efficiency Analysis: Conduct time studies and line balancing to optimize assembly flow and efficiency.
  • Culture Development: Implement Lean Manufacturing practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Compliance Promotion: Promote health, safety, and environmental compliance within assembly operations.
Candidate Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in an engineering role, demonstrating process improvement and technical leadership.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Victoria.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., NX, AutoCAD) and ERP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including assembly, machining, and automation.
