Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Wildlife Conservation Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert care and management of our wildlife collection, including tigers and other native species.


About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced wildlife professional to work in a world-class facility, contributing to global tiger conservation efforts. The role involves working closely with our big cats, training them using protected contact methods, and performing essential husbandry tasks such as feeding, preparing diets, and enriching animal habitats.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert care and management of our wildlife collection, including tigers and other native species
  • Train our tigers using protected contact methods
  • Perform essential husbandry tasks such as feeding, preparing diets, and enriching animal habitats
  • Keep the tiger enclosures and wildlife area clean and well-presented
  • Engage guests with fun and educational talks about wildlife and conservation

Requirements
  • Proven experience in wildlife care, working with native, exotic, or non-domestic animals (experience with large carnivores would be advantageous)
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in zoological or animal sciences (preferred)
  • Strong background in animal husbandry
  • Friendly, confident communicator who enjoys engaging with guests
  • Committed to teamwork, safety, and high standards of animal welfare
  • Physically fit and capable of handling hands-on, active tasks safely
  • Q-Fever vaccination required
  • Must hold a current driver's license
