About the Role
Summary

Kids First Australia is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Community Connections Practitioner. The successful candidate will be responsible for building connections and opportunities for young people beyond the service system.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strengthen young people's social capital by creating connections with mentors, peers, elders, community groups, and local businesses.
  • Design and facilitate workshops and groupwork projects to support young people's goals and aspirations.
  • Support existing mentors to connect with young people in social and recreational activities that promote self-esteem, resilience, and health and wellbeing.
  • Share local expertise and knowledge with colleagues to assist with matching young people to opportunities.
  • Develop and implement Community Connector direction plans and outcome reports.

About You

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working within the Community and Youth Sector, a passion for advocating for young people in the Out of Home care system, and a demonstrated capability to network and build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
