Software Development Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Software Development Manager to lead our global software development team. As a key member of our organization, you will partner with product managers, UI/UX specialists, client and commercial teams, QA specialists, external technology providers, and AECOM IT Cloud services teams to deliver innovative software solutions.

This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, stakeholder management, business strategy, and delivery skills. Proven experience managing software development teams through Agile methodologies is essential.

About the Role
  • You will manage a team of global software developers, providing performance management, career development, coaching, training, mentoring, and team building.
  • You will support the onboarding of new development staff, including internal hires and contractors.
  • You will collaborate with product managers, solution architects, and UI/UX leads to drive product requirements, story definition, architecture, and UI/UX prototypes.
  • You will provide technical software development expertise and advice to our Global Digital Leader - SaaS.
  • You will manage the support process, resources, and performance for our global SaaS offerings.
  • You will facilitate sprint planning and retrospectives with your team, managing outcomes/output of retrospectives to continuously improve our workflow.

As a successful candidate, you will have a strong track record of delivering high-quality software solutions, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
