Personal Care Assistant Job Description

This role is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of our clients. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will be providing genuine and compassionate care experiences, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a difference, self-led with responsibility and accountability, coachable, and eager to learn. Previous caregiving experience is a plus, but not essential.

We are looking for someone who is fluent in English, with additional languages being an advantage. Reliable transportation to clients' homes is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized care experiences that meet the unique needs of each client
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation
  • Follow care plans developed by the Care Designer (Registered Nurse)
  • Ensure the safety and proper use of equipment
  • Accurately complete records and documentation

Requirements:

  • Minimum Cert III in Aged Care, Community Support, Individual Support, Disability, or extensive industry experience
  • National Police Check (Aged Care/Vulnerable Persons Sector)
  • Working With Children Check
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Completion
  • NDIS Clearance
