About the Role
Ventia is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to lead and manage overall back-of-house operations at RAAF Base Pearce in Bullsbrook, WA.
As a key member of our Defence Base Services contract team, you will report to the Head Chef and be responsible for the production and delivery of food services within the base.
This is a full-time permanent role, working a 9:5 roster (9 days on, 5 days off), with a payrate of $33.99 per hour + penalties.
Key duties include:
- Supporting the Head Chef in the management of meal services
- Verifying food products and presentation are prepared to serve in a timely manner
- Operating large-volume cooking equipment
- Assuming the role of Head Chef in their absence
- Ensuring menu variations, allergen, and religious requirements are followed
Requirements
Commercial Cookery qualification
Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) Level 3 certification
Experience managing large commercial kitchens
