Job Description

As a specialist in contaminated land management, you will be responsible for site and field-based environmental data acquisition. This will involve measurement, maintenance, and calibration of equipment for surface water, groundwater, soil, sediment, soil vapour, noise, air quality, and meteorology.

You will contribute to the preparation of contaminated land assessment reports and manage large data sources. This will include documenting data, recording observations, and using database and digitization tools.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in environmental science or engineering and 2+ years of professional experience in contaminated land management or a closely related field.

  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and policies
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and time management skills

About the Position

This role is based primarily in Sydney but will support our broader Australian teams. You will receive mentoring and support from senior staff and have the opportunity to work on a variety of legacy industrial, fuel infrastructure, residential development, and commercial sites.

Required Skills and Qualifications

For this role, your starting points are:

  • 2+ years of professional experience in contaminated land management or a closely related field
  • Degree in environmental science or engineering related discipline
  • Full drivers' licence
  • Ability to communicate effectively and manage time efficiently
  • Willingness to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Commitment to meeting the expectations and requirements of our valued clients
  • Willingness to undertake field work with regular travel within NSW and interstate
