Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Data Migration Projects: Plan and execute large-scale data migration projects, working closely with internal and external stakeholders, and cross-functional teams and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with stakeholders and suppliers to understand data migration requirements and objectives, ensuring compatibility with existing and new systems.
  • Design and Implement ETL Processes: Design and implement robust ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from source to target systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assess and Optimize Data Quality: Assess and optimize data quality during migration, guaranteeing the integrity of migrated data.
  • Work with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure compatibility with existing and new systems.
  • Implement Data Validation and Reconciliation: Implement data validation and reconciliation processes to guarantee the integrity of migrated data.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Develop Documentation and Training: Develop documentation and provide training to internal teams on new data structures and processes.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualification: Tertiary qualified in Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • ITIL Framework Knowledge: Fundamental knowledge of the ITIL framework and/or other IT Service Management methodologies.
  • Experience in Data Engineering: Solid experience in data engineering or migration role with a focus on internal business systems.
  • Large-Scale Data Migration Experience: Demonstrated experience in large-scale data migration projects across finance, practice management/ERP, payroll, and human resources systems.
  • Data Modelling and ETL Development: Proven expertise in data modelling, ETL development, and database management systems.
  • CRM, Practice Management Systems, and Finance Systems: Strong understanding of CRM, Practice Management Systems, and Finance systems architecture, data models, and integration mechanisms.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Maintaining Relationships: Demonstrated experience maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to achieve the organization's objectives.
