Job Description

This role is responsible for leading a team of engineers building data infrastructure, backend services and clients to capture and connect behavioural analytics and system telemetry.

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers building the scalable event ingestion and processing systems.
  • Drive the design and evolution of high-performance data infrastructure.
  • Partner with teams across product, infra, and data to ensure systems are impactful and reliable.
  • Embed privacy-by-design principles into our tracking architecture.
  • Foster a high-performing team through coaching, feedback, and inclusive leadership.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coaching and mentoring engineers across both frontend and backend, guiding architecture decisions.
  • Approaching problems with a product mindset and collaborating closely with cross-functional partners to drive impact.
  • Caring about data ethics and applying privacy-by-design principles in work.
  • Empowering others to make data-informed decisions through reliable and accurate data.
  • Valuing clear, concise communication – whether explaining technical decisions, guiding your team, or aligning with stakeholders.

About the Role:

You'll be part of the Product Insights Enablement group within the Product Platform supergroup—empowering every product team to build confidently with data. The Product Analytics team is the central engine for user behaviour analytics.

The mission is to make behavioural data discoverable, trustworthy, and actionable—so teams can ask better questions, run meaningful experiments, and design delightful experiences.
