**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dispensary Technician to join our team. As a Dispensary Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and appropriateness of medication dispensing.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Review scripts to ensure accuracy and appropriateness before dispensing commences.
  • Ensure correct formulation in accordance with the script has been finalised prior to dispensing the medication.
  • Utilise appropriate computer software in accordance with all procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date logs on the Intranet.
  • Adhere to established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazard medications.
  • Confirm beyond use dating procedures are followed and ancillary patient product labels are correct prior to labelling of product.
  • Ensure status cards for critical equipment are in order and kept up to date.

**Requirements:**

- Passionate about helping animals is a must.

- Attention to detail and accuracy is essential.

- Experience in the Veterinary industry is highly desirable.

- Prior experience in Pharmacy is highly desirable.

- Proficient in data entry and computer skills.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Strong organisational, time management and problem-solving skills.

- Willingness to learn and adapt to change.
