Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and manage ecological assessments, habitat surveys, and impact studies for various projects, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, planning policies, and environmental standards.
- Field Work: Conduct and oversee field surveys, including protected species surveys, habitat assessments, and ecological monitoring, utilizing your expertise in ecological survey techniques and data analysis.
- Writing Reports: Prepare detailed ecological reports, impact assessments, and mitigation strategies, utilizing your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Client Liaison: Build and maintain relationships with clients, providing expert advice and guidance on ecological issues, and ensuring high-quality project delivery.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior ecologists, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment, and promoting professional growth and development.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience within an ecological consultancy or a related field, with a strong understanding of UK wildlife legislation, planning regulations, and best practices in ecological management.
- Qualifications: Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline, with a master's degree or PhD being advantageous.
- Skills: Proficient in ecological survey techniques, data analysis, and report writing, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
