Job Title: English Educator

This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator who is passionate about English education and possesses excellent teaching skills.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated teacher who can deliver engaging lessons, promote student wellbeing and contribute to the Learning Area.

The successful candidate will have recent experience in teaching and assessing English, a sound knowledge of teaching pedagogies and practices, and a tertiary teaching qualification that enables them to teach English including VCE.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess current understanding of the teaching of English, including text study and writing.
  • Maintain high standards of learning and teaching, assessment and reporting that is relevant, collaborative and future-focussed.
  • Deliver and promote student wellbeing within the College.

Requirements:

  • Be enthusiastic about young people's education.
  • Have recent experience in teaching and assessing English.
  • Be a highly skilled and dedicated teacher who contributes to the Learning Area.
  • Display a sound knowledge of teaching pedagogies and practices with a focus on developing students' knowledge and skills.
  • Have a tertiary teaching qualification that enables you to teach English including VCE.
  • Hold a current Teacher registration with VIT.
