Remote Community Outreach Specialist

Census Engagement Managers play a pivotal role in enhancing participation in the Census by fostering connections between the Australian Bureau of Statistics and stakeholders in regional and remote areas.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering targeted engagement activities to maximize Census participation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Demonstrated experience or knowledge in working with or advocating for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
- Ability to connect and engage with service providers, communicate effectively, and develop strong working relationships
- Communicating sensitively and effectively to present information to various groups or communities
- Capability to work independently, prioritize tasks with limited guidance, and make decisions independently
- Sound local area knowledge and ability to read and navigate maps
This position offers a competitive hourly rate (inclusive of casual loading) and superannuation benefits. Applicants who live in or have worked in the nominated area are highly regarded.
