About John Holland

We are seeking an experienced Sustainability Advisor to join our team in Canterbury, NSW. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will provide expert advice to our projects and deliver initiatives that enhance our sustainability performance. Your passion for sustainability and commitment to excellence will be essential in driving our sustainability objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on sustainability matters to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Develop and implement sustainability strategies and initiatives to improve our environmental performance.
  • Collaborate with our sustainability and environmental teams to ensure best practices and outcomes.
  • Monitor and report on our sustainability performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Stay up-to-date with legislative and regulatory changes, ensuring our sustainability practices remain compliant and effective.
  • Manage the delivery of sustainability rating aspects and compile documentation for external rating bodies.
  • Conduct site visits, audits, and inspections to ensure our sustainability practices are implemented effectively.

Requirements:

  • Passion for sustainability and commitment to excellence.
  • Sound understanding of sustainability principles and application within the construction industry.
  • 3+ years' experience in the sustainability field, with experience in the construction industry desirable.
  • Well-developed communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
  • A relevant degree/qualification in the field of sustainability/science/environmental engineering.
  • The ability to interpret project-related documents, prepare reports, and monitor compliance documentation.
