Job Opportunity

Lecturers or senior lecturers are sought to join our team within the school of primary and allied health care.

The role aims to prepare students for entry to the occupational therapy profession through curricula focused on foundational interdisciplinary knowledge for health care practice, occupational science, occupational therapy practices for enabling participation in everyday life, use of research in practice, and integration of attitudes, knowledge and skills expected for culturally safe and competent professional practice.

As a lecturer or senior lecturer, you will play a significant role in leading the delivery of a curriculum focused on the application of psychological theories and research to understanding health and human behaviour, particularly as it relates to the practice of occupational therapy. In addition to your teaching responsibilities, you will be actively engaged in conducting research relevant to occupational therapy and/or interdisciplinary areas within the school.

Responsibilities include leading the delivery of a curriculum, contributing to teaching responsibilities, co-supervising honours and postgraduate students, conducting original research leading to high-quality publications and external funding, contributing to administrative responsibilities, participating in departmental planning and committees, and supporting research and program development activities.

Key qualifications include a doctoral or masters qualification in the relevant discipline area or equivalent accreditation and standing, demonstrated strong publication record in high-quality refereed journals and textbooks or equivalent teaching resources, demonstrated strong record of teaching experience in a tertiary environment, and demonstrated ability in undertaking outstanding research and leading a research team and project.
