This exciting role is for a dedicated professional to provide clinical expertise and leadership in implementing behaviour support interventions.

About the Role

  • Manage a portfolio of behaviour support interventions and develop strategies to promote positive outcomes within a person-centred approach and systems context.
  • Ensure customers and families have input into service planning and provision.
  • Provide intervention within various contexts, including home, school, community, to support inclusive community access.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Team - Therapy and Health to provide effective leadership, coaching, guidance, and development relevant to behaviour support.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment for the team and customers.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with stakeholders to assist customers in accessing community supports.
  • Develop, prepare, present, and evaluate training packages for individuals and groups.

Your Qualifications

  • Experience of working with people with disabilities, families, and carers within a systems context.
  • Commitment to values such as dignity, respect, inclusion, empowerment, confidentiality, and strength-based practice.
  • Extensive experience in using models and strategies to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions that influence behaviours of concern (e.g., behaviour support).
  • Ability to think creatively and use initiative, to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong written and computer skills for creating plans, programs, reports, correspondence, and other documents.
  • High-level communication, influencing, liaison, and negotiation skills.
