NES Fircroft, in partnership with a globally leading Alumina producer, is supporting their regional Victorian smelting operations during an exciting period of growth. They are currently seeking a suitably experienced Electrical Reliability Engineer for an initial contracting role with long-term potential.
Benefits Hourly rate of $130 – $140 + super
Initial contract role with potential for permanency
Based in Portland, regional Victoria
Work alongside an experienced operations team with decades of expertise
Ongoing support and dedicated contractor engagement team with NES Fircroft
One flexi leisure day every four-week period
Job Role Leading root cause analysis investigations of failures
Developing work scopes for major equipment repairs using fitness-for-service approaches
Developing and improving equipment management strategies with reliability approaches, implementing improvements, and driving to completion
Demonstrating a passion and commitment to Environment, Health, and Safety in the workplace
Identifying long-term opportunities for improvement through technical expertise focusing on equipment reliability and plant capacity enhancement
About You A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, with experience in maintenance, reliability, heavy industry, or plant engineering
Victorian Engineering Registration
Understanding of risk management, quality improvement, and reliability excellence processes
Adaptable communication and relationship-building skills, with strong problem-solving abilities
