**Loss Prevention Expert Wanted**

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Loss Prevention Officer to join our team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting safety and security across the store, monitoring and implementing risk management policies, incident reporting both internal & external, store safety management, contractor compliance, relationship building with centre management, local police & other retailers, inventory management, WHS representative and operation of cameras & surveillance (overt & covert).

  • Implementing risk management policies to prevent losses and protect employees, customers and assets.
  • Reporting incidents promptly and accurately to ensure timely response and resolution.
  • Managing store safety by conducting regular audits, identifying potential hazards and taking corrective action.
  • Ensuring contractor compliance by conducting thorough background checks and verifying necessary documentation.
  • Building relationships with centre management, local police and other retailers to foster a collaborative environment and share best practices.
  • Managing inventory levels and reconciling discrepancies to prevent shrinkage and ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Representing WHS by providing training and guidance to employees on workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Operating cameras and surveillance equipment to deter and detect suspicious activity.
Requirements:
  • Security License to operate CCTV systems and conduct site inspections.
  • First Aid Certificate to respond to medical emergencies.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.
  • Initiative to adapt to changing circumstances and think critically to resolve complex issues.
