The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the efficient use of drivers and equipment, ensuring compliance with customer and freight requirements, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Compile loads to maximize driver utilization and optimize vehicle usage.
- Organize vehicles to ensure timely completion of orders and requests.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, including manifests and compliance reports.
- Monitor external contractors' performance and provide guidance on operational improvements.
- Manage incidents related to driver operations, including initial reports and investigations.
- Supervise drivers to enforce adherence to laws and regulations.
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs for company equipment.
- Participate in operational meetings and OHS discussions.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and concerns.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Leadership and guidance of staff.
- Identification and resolution of operational inefficiencies and service issues.
- Strong knowledge of multi-purpose fleets, including prime movers, body trucks, and specialist equipment.
- Geographical awareness to allocate and direct drivers effectively.
- Transport background preferred but not mandatory.
