The Principal Business Architect will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business strategy and technology execution. This individual will work closely with business leaders and IT teams to develop and implement IT solutions that align with the organisation's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure adherence to IT governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
Contribute to the improvement of Sandfire's Architecture Governance process.
Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, IT teams, and other stakeholders.
Analyse business strategies, goals, and objectives to identify IT capabilities required for success.
Undertake ongoing maintenance of Business Capability Model and Enterprise Solution Architecture for Sandfire.
Develop blueprints and roadmaps for specific segments of the business.
Design and document IT solutions that support business processes, aligning with enterprise architecture standards.
Elicit, analyse, and document functional and non-functional requirements from business stakeholders.
Assess the suitability of IT solutions against business needs, considering factors such as cost, feasibility, and scalability.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will require a Bachelor's degree or higher in information technology, computer science or related discipline. A minimum of 15 years' experience working in Business IT related roles, with at least 4 years in a Business Architecture role or similar, is also required. Additionally, you will need to have a strong understanding of data architecture, enterprise architecture, and solution architecture. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are also essential. Experience with developing business capability models, roadmaps, enterprise application architectures, and knowledge of industry-standard methodologies and frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman Framework) are highly desirable. This is a multi-faceted architecture role, and relevant experience outside architecture (e.g., project management, development, business analysis) is advantageous. Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills are also required. Experience with Agile Delivery frameworks, techniques, and tools is also beneficial.
