Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Site Supervisor to join our team at Our Place Society. As a key member of our housing and shelter operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and supervision to our Supported Housing and Shelter staff, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents.
  • Collaborate with our management team to develop and implement programs and services that meet the needs of our residents.
  • Conduct initial employee performance evaluations, monthly supervisions, and other administrative tasks as required.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and resources to support our residents.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to residents and staff as needed.
  • Oversee the intake process for new residents and ensure a smooth transition into our programs.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy facility, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff.
  • Uphold and model Our Place Society's values and principles in all interactions.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as social work, counseling, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a community social services setting.
  • Knowledge of current social issues related to homelessness, mental illness, and addiction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional evening and weekend shifts. The successful candidate will be required to participate in an on-call rotation and be available to work flexible hours as needed.

Our Place Society offers a competitive salary range of $67,200 - $75,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
