Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Strategic Planning Officer to join our team. As a key member of our planning department, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and implementation of strategic plans that drive growth and progress.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide expert advice and guidance on planning matters, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will also be responsible for mentoring and coaching direct reports, cultivating a collaborative and high-achieving team environment.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess extensive knowledge of the planning system and procedures, principles, policies, and legislation relevant to WA. You should also have a proven track record of delivering strategic documents that address complex planning matters, including strategies, scheme amendments, structure plans, planning policies, and aligned studies and projects.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will need to demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to analyze and research social, economic, and environmental factors that contribute to sustainable planning outcomes.
