  • You will need to demonstrate strong attention to detail, highly developed critical thinking and problem solving, and excellent interpersonal and self-management skills.
  • This position requires the ability to work collaboratively with other professionals to identify and address safety and risk concerns for children and young people.
  • The successful candidate will have the ability to source timely, accurate and comprehensive information and make evidence-based decisions in line with the child/young person's safety, welfare and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:

Assessment and Intervention:

  • Undertake assessments to identify and address safety and risk concerns for children and young people within a multi-disciplinary program.
  • Develop and implement intervention plans to address identified safety and risk concerns.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Engage in collaborative, child-focused practice that acknowledges and respects the culture and context of each child, young person and their carers/family.
  • Maintain effective communication with colleagues, stakeholders and families to ensure seamless delivery of services.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in social work or a related field.
  • Significant experience working in child protection or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in assessment and intervention practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
