Opportunity Overview

Visy is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic manufacturing plant as an Apprentice Mechanical Fitter. This exciting opportunity will provide the successful candidate with the chance to gain a Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade) and develop the skills and knowledge required to become a trade-qualified mechanical fitter.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist qualified mechanical trades in performing a wide range of fitting tasks, including assembling, repairing, and maintaining various components for plant machinery and equipment.
  • Strive to acquire the skills necessary to work autonomously and take on increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Participate in on-the-job training, guidance, and mentoring from experienced mechanics and maintenance leaders.
  • Develop strong problem-solving and communication skills, with a focus on attention to detail.
Requirements
  • Completion or nearing completion of high school education.
  • Commitment to completing the apprenticeship program.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
