Mechanical Fitter

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at Weir Minerals in Artarmon. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for providing safe, effective, and timely mechanical maintenance to our equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Completing workshop repairs and refurbishments on critical equipment.
- Inspecting and repairing mechanical infrastructure.
- Repair, maintain, and test equipment as per scope of work.
- Preventative maintenance of plant and equipment, with a focus on maintaining safety and maximising production.
- Resolve operational and technical equipment concerns.
- Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.
- Minimum qualification – Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Mechanical Fitter).
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
- Experience with heavy machinery, fault finding, repairs of equipment.
- Welding and machining experience is desirable.
- Ability to effectively communicate and write reports.
- Competent with the use of CMMS (computerized maintenance management system).
