Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned leader to manage rail projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.

You will lead teams in Train Control Systems and Signalling Projects on the east coast, fostering collaboration and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, aligning with industry standards.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of project scope, budgets, schedules, and quality requirements.
  • Assemble and mobilise high-performing project teams, ensuring clear internal responsibilities.
  • Rigorously apply risk and opportunity methodologies to optimise project outcomes.
  • Maintain regular communication and reporting with key clients to meet contractual requirements.
  • Develop and manage project planning and management documentation.
  • Actively participate in bid and tender efforts to ensure operational and business capabilities are represented.
  • Execute projects within the UGL Project Management framework, ensuring all project KPIs are achieved.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in rail signaling design, signal construction, and signal design management.
  • Expertise in a similar role with experience gained in the rail industry, including signalling design / construction.
  • Expertise or strong interest in project control techniques, earned value management, S-curve reporting, risk and opportunity management, and project financial forecasting.
  • Familiar with MS Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent scheduling software.
  • Sound understanding of PMBoK, Prince2, Agile, or other appropriate project management methodology.
