About the RoleThis exciting opportunity exists for a Speech Pathologist to join our team, providing assessment and therapeutic interventions to clients across the region.
As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised treatment plans that promote optimal health and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop evidence-based treatment plans to address the unique needs of clients.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions, utilising a range of techniques and methodologies to promote client engagement and progress.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, families, and community stakeholders to promote cultural responsiveness and community engagement.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
- Bachelor or Master of Speech Pathology with general registration by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA).
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients, families, and communities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to travel across the ATSICHS Brisbane region, with a willingness to work across different sites and settings.
- Previous experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and communities.
- Experience working with clients who have an NDIS package.
