Job Description

We are seeking skilled professionals to join our team in a precast operation at Tomago. As a Construction and/or Formwork Carpenter, you will be responsible for carrying out various tasks related to formwork, steel fixing, and concreting.

The successful applicant will have hands-on experience in form working and concrete production, with a safe outlook on daily activities. They will also possess strong attention to detail, reliability, and motivation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safe preparation and setting up of formwork
  • Reading technical drawings and measuring and setting out 'Decks' for precast production
  • Cutting and boxing up of specific precast shutters
  • Stripping and storage of formwork shutters

Additional responsibilities may include assisting with the pouring of concrete products, bending and tying of steel reinforcement bars, and finishing concrete products ready for supply to customers.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, applicants must have:

  • Motivation and attention to detail
  • Reliability and experience in form working and concrete production
  • A safe outlook on daily activities
  • A current driver's license (and ideally a forklift license)

Previous experience in a construction, concreting, or manufacturing environment is preferred, as is an understanding of the precast industry.

This role offers permanent full-time or casual positions on a full-time basis from Monday to Friday (day shift). Remuneration will be based on experience, with overtime hours available on an as-needs basis.
