Ambassador of Mental Health Support
Role Overview:
The Ambassador of Mental Health Support plays a pivotal role in bridging clients with vital mental health services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage the regional intake and referral queue, ensuring timely and appropriate allocation of clients to clinicians.
- Conduct thorough intake assessments for couples and family counselling, including Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) screening.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, clinicians, and internal teams to ensure delivery of trauma-informed, client-centred support.
- Maintain a small clinical caseload and facilitate internal referrals.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, program evaluation, and clinical policy development.
Essential Qualifications:
- Working with Vulnerable People registration or ability to obtain it within the required timeframe.
- Registration as a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, or Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Membership of the AASW as a Social Worker.
- Postgraduate qualification in Counselling with registration from PACFA (Clinical) or ACA Level 3 or 4.
