Our team is looking for a skilled professional to join our operations as an Aviation Expert.

Job Description

As an Aviation Expert, you will provide specialist advice on aviation operations and conduct comprehensive safety audits. You will oversee the delivery of aviation-related projects and serve as the primary point of contact for aviation matters. Your role will ensure alignment with relevant regulatory frameworks and internationally recognised best practices.

This opportunity offers flexible location options across Australia, with a preference for candidates based on the East Coast.

  • Plan and conduct aviation audits and assess operator safety for clients.
  • Provide technical and commercial aviation advice.
  • Prepare written audit and project reports with recommendations for the conduct and continuous improvement of client aviation activities.
  • Follow-up and close out issues raised during audits and projects.
  • Maintain professional contact and effective working relationships with clients.
  • Maintain professional qualifications through training and participation in seminars where possible.
  • Discharge administrative duties required for the efficient conduct of your position.
Key Qualifications
  • Airline transport pilot's license (for at least 8 years and over 2500 flight hours) with previous exposure to maintenance activities, or Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license with relevant operational experience.
  • Ideal candidate has 15 years' experience in the aviation industry, including experience relevant to our activities.
  • Successful completion of full Safety Management System training.
  • Auditing experience, with at least 10 aviation-related audits conducted within the last 4 years.
  • Completion of a quality/safety lead auditor course.
  • Solid understanding of CASA and ICAO regulations.
  • Experience auditing aircraft operators (fixed or rotary wing), and inspecting aerodromes and offshore helidecks.
  • Valid BOSIET training certificate for offshore travel.
  • BARS auditor qualifications/accreditation (highly regarded).
  • RPAS experience (preferable).
