Job Description

As a Support Worker, you will join a large team delivering responsive, timely, and empowering services to facilitate independent living, health, wellness, and happiness.

You will help clients learn new skills, find hobbies, and achieve goals by facilitating wellness and community activities, providing social support, and domestic assistance duties.

This role involves building trusted relationships with clients and their families, offering warmth, understanding, and sunshine in their lives.

Requirements

  1. Previous experience in aged care or community services industry.
  2. Basic computer skills and accurate documentation abilities.
  3. Ability to work independently and report to supervisors as needed.
  4. Empathy, patience, understanding, and a positive attitude towards aging.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Certificate III or higher in Health Service Assistance/Individual Support/Aged Care/Community.
  • Second language skills.
  • Experience or training in manual handling techniques, dementia care, or flexible shift work.

Position Requirements

  1. Australian Open Drivers Licence.
  2. Reliable motor vehicle with valid registration and comprehensive insurance.
  3. National Police Check clearance for unsupervised work.
  4. Current first-aid certificate and CPR certification.
  5. COVID-19 vaccination status as per government guidelines.
