Job Overview

We're seeking an exceptional IT professional with a deep understanding of both Managed Services and the needs of mid-tier clients. As a MSP specialised Security Technician, you'll be involved in various responsibilities including:

  • Performing proactive patching on various applications to support clients' vulnerability management plans.
  • Collecting and collating data to support regular cybersecurity-related reporting activities.
  • Conducting health checks on existing client solution implementations, including Security Awareness Training Platforms, EDR, Firewalls, and Application Control.
  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting for security-related issues to customers based in Australia.
  • Maintaining documentation concerning security procedures, processes, and incidents.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, we expect you to have skills in these areas:

  • Proven experience in a cybersecurity or related role, with a focus on vulnerability management, patching, and incident response.
  • Knowledge and understanding of common security frameworks, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
  • Familiarity with security tools and technologies, including EDR, Firewalls, and Application Control solutions.
  • General knowledge of technical infrastructure from desktop to firewall, including LAN & WAN networking principles.
  • Experience working with an IT outsourcer or managed service provider (MSP).
  • Understanding of ticketing systems and customer service principles.
