Townsville-based Construction Project Safety Advisor

We are seeking a skilled Safety and Compliance Advisor to play a central role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our construction projects based in Townsville. As a key member of our team, you will work on a broad mix of civil and building works across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to project sites in Townsville and surrounds
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits
- Support incident investigations and ensure follow-up actions are closed out
- Maintain and improve HSEQ systems in line with ISO standards and legislative requirements
- Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and internal training sessions
- Build strong relationships with teams, subcontractors, and clients to foster a proactive safety culture
- 3+ years' experience in a HSEQ role, ideally within civil or building construction. White card required.
- Cert IV in WHS (minimum); Diploma in WHS is a bonus
- Strong understanding of QLD WHS legislation and environmental obligations
- A practical, down-to-earth approach and confidence working directly with site teams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Based in or willing to relocate to Townsville
