Located on a 12-acre block in a rural market farming area, Goodstart Penfield offers an enriching early learning experience for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. Our centre boasts large grassed outdoor play areas and a unique chicken coop and vegetable garden where children actively participate in caring for the chickens and tending to the garden.
Igniting a Love of LearningAs an Early Childhood Teacher at Goodstart, you'll ignite a love of learning in children, guiding their development with purposeful and energetic teaching practices. With a strong focus on individualised learning, our teachers work collaboratively to ensure each child reaches their full potential.
Salary and BenefitsWe offer competitive pay, with a salary comparable to state primary school teachers. As a Goodstart employee, you'll receive:
- A starting salary of $80,000
- Regular professional development sessions, including workshops and online discussions

- Mentorship support for teacher accreditation or registration
- 50% discount off childcare gap fees and up to 6 weeks paid parental leave
To succeed as an Early Childhood Teacher at Goodstart, you'll need:
- Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education) or ACECQA approved equivalent
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
- Current SA Working with Children Check
- Active registration with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia (TRB SA)
