Position Overview:

We are in search of a talented Security Installation Project Manager to become part of our retail installations team on a permanent, full-time basis.

As an Electronic Security Installation Project Manager, you will be instrumental in the implementation of security systems. Your responsibilities will include designing, quoting, and delivering a variety of electronic security equipment, such as alarm systems, access control systems, surveillance cameras, and other related technologies. Your expertise will guarantee that our clients receive dependable and effective security solutions customized to their specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial system design and create system layouts for client approval using AutoCAD.
  • Prepare installation quotations for clients.
  • Oversee the complete installation process of electronic security systems, including Access Control, Electronic Alarm, and CCTV systems, ensuring compliance with client-approved plans and specifications.
  • Create and manage site-specific Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and other Workplace Health and Safety documentation as necessary.
  • Ensure that each installation is completed within budget and on schedule for the client.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and technological advancements.
  • Ensure that installation teams comply with all safety and regulatory standards during the installation process.
  • Ensure that project documentation, as-built plans, and sign-off forms are thorough, accurate, and submitted to the client.
  • Manage both internal installation teams and subcontractor installation teams as required.

Qualifications / Eligibility:

  • Certification in electronics, security systems, or a related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).
  • Class 2 QLD Security Advisors and Installation License.
  • Must possess full-time, permanent work rights in Australia.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various client sites.
  • General Construction Industry White Card.
  • Demonstrated experience in Project Managing the installation of electronic security systems.
  • Strong understanding of electronic circuitry, wiring, and components.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Desired Experience:

  • Familiarity with the quotation process for the installation of Integriti & Tecom Access Control and Intruder systems.
  • Knowledge of the quotation process for the installation of CCTV systems, particularly in Milestone, NX Witness, and March Networks.
  • Experience with SimPRO.
