Job Opportunity

Cross Care, a leading provider of allied health services, is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist to join their dynamic team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic and individualized interventions.

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Speech Pathology and eligibility for SPA CPSP membership are essential requirements.
  • Experience in acute care hospital settings is preferred, but new graduates/early career clinicians are also considered.
  • Knowledge of instrumental assessments, such as VFSS and/or FEES, is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Screen, assess, and diagnose speech, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  2. Implement patient-centered interventions and work collaboratively with the healthcare team.

Requirements
  • Relevant degree in Speech Pathology.
  • Clinical experience as a Speech Language Pathologist with AAC knowledge.
  • Experience in NDIS and the disability support sector.
  • Understanding of Dysphagia and mealtime management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work autonomously.
  • Membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Experience supporting Autism Spectrum Disorder, Early Intervention, literacy, and social skills desirable.
